I first met Danielle and Colin virtually - they inquired through an online wedding site, where we met for our initial consultation just weeks after they got to welcome their son into this world. We spent months planning their day, ensuring that the timeline for the day was correct and nothing was left out. That's one of the best ways to ensure a successful wedding timeline, is consistently going through the timeline, and preparing for everything!
On the day of their wedding, I arrived early so I could scout their wedding venue - Whispering Woods - for portrait locations and first-look locations. With this being a venue I had never been to, I wanted to make sure that I had enough time to plan out where the best spots would be.
Danielle and the girls spent the morning getting ready with Hair and Makeup being done by themselves - which is a task in itself because I know how tricky that can be! Once everyone was ready, we were able to start the day off with a round of first looks between Colin and his mama, Danielle and her Step-Dad (who got to hold Danielle's son during the first look!) and Danielle and Colin themselves.
We hopped right into family formals and wedding party portraits after, which saved so much time after the ceremony - Instead of being stuck doing portraits for a long time, we were able to get the bulk of the immediate family photos done prior to the ceremony, so Danielle and Colin were able to enjoy greeting their guests and were able to get portraits of extended family members and friends.
The reception started off with the cutest first-dance between the couple, where they continually smiled and gazed into each other's eyes as if no one else existed.
Once dinner was served, we were able to sneak the couple outside for some final portraits before the sun went down, and then sending them back to the reception to participate in the bouquet toss and garter toss.
One of the most requested photos Danielle had asked for was an exit photo with Danielle and Colin on their motorcycle, as an "exit" photo. We did this right after we packed up the photo gear in the car, and MAN OH MAN - that was probably one of the best shots I've taken to date - they KILLED it!
