Kelsey and Mark

The Highland Lofts - Elgin, IL

Kelsey and Mark had a wonderful fall wedding in October, surrounded by friends and family that helped make their day special.

We started out the morning with the girls getting their dresses ready, and making sure all of the final details for the wedding venue were in place. Kelsey had told me prior to their wedding that she wanted to get a photo with the girls in their robes - I was more than excited to make that dream happen, especially when I saw how close these ladies were to this beautiful bride.

Kelsey and Mark shared first looks with each other, which was oh-so sweet, and even did a private vow exchange that had us all teary-eyed. Mark and Kelsey are truly so perfect for one another, and you can tell by the way Mark looks at Kelsey, this is the story you read about in books.

The ceremony was officiated by Kelsey's aunt Patti, and she did such an amazing service, making sure to keep the foundation of marriage in the center of what today was all about - their religion. The two families became one as the unity candles were lit, and everyone was full of joy and cheers for the newlywed!

After dinner is when the fun really started - Between the groomsmen, and a few of the other guests, the dance floor was packed all night, and even when drinks were spilled, the groomsmen cleaned it up in style - with a napkin and his foot while still dancing!

Kelsey's grandparents blew everyone away with winning the Anniversary dance - these two love birds have been married for 66 years! They were adorable dancing with everyone, and it was great being able to hear Kelsey's grandma give advise to our newly weds!

We ended the night with string light photos in downtown Elgin, where Kelsey and Mark were full of giggles and laughter as they were riding the high of being married to their best friend, finally, after all of the planning and prepping.

Kelsey and Mark, thank you both SO much for such a fun wedding, and for letting me be apart of this special moment for you both. I loved being able to help answer questions and help plan, and as your wedding day approached, I felt more like your friend than a vendor - which is one of my goals with every couple. Watching you two dance the night away, I have nothing but love for the both of you, and wish you many, many years of happiness together!
